Day 14: Get Creative and Make Some DIY Decor

DIY is a roller coaster of emotions. First it’s therapeutic, then it’s annoying and right when you start to question why you ever thought it’d be a good idea in the first place… you finish & the results are SO worth it. All that to say, for Day 14 of 31 Days of Loving Our Homes our resolution is to Get Creative and Make Some DIY Decor. 

I’ve said it before but what truly separates a house from a home is the thought that goes into the space. Curating unique pieces over time, avoiding cookie cutter interior styling and even adding in character through DIY are great ways to make your house a home. Some of my favorite pieces in my home have been made by me and every time I look at them they truly bring me immense joy.

Your DIY project doesn’t have to be a huge undertaking… start small with something that peaks your interest from TikTok or Pinterest. It can be as small as thrifting a piece of decor and up-cycling it by painting it in a color you like! 

The only goal is to have fun and to bring a piece of yourself into your home through something that you make.
