Day 22: Swap out Builder Grade Lighting for More Unique Pieces

Welcome back to 31 Days of Loving Our Homes where we talk about things that we can do in the new year to make our homes a space that we love! For Day 22 our resolution is to swap out builder grade lighting for more unique pieces.

The lighting in your home is a great opportunity to express your style and infuse personality into your living spaces! Swapping out builder-grade lighting fixtures for more unique pieces can instantly transform the atmosphere, adding a touch of sophistication and individuality to your home. In fact, one of my most complimented pieces in my home is my dining room light fixture from CB2. You don't have to go with such pricey options for a unique look, however. There are so many amazing options that will elevate your space!

Builder-grade lighting is often generic and lacks the character that can elevate a room. By investing in distinctive fixtures, whether it's a statement chandelier, pendant lights, or artisan-crafted sconces, you introduce a focal point that draws attention and sets the tone for the entire space.

My favorite part is that unique lighting pieces act almost as a piece of art, contributing to the overall aesthetic of your home. Consider fixtures with interesting shapes, materials, or intricate designs that align with your personal taste. These pieces become conversation starters and focal points, capturing the attention of visitors and creating a memorable impression.

The variety of styles and designs available allows you to tailor the lighting to each room's specific aesthetic. Whether you're aiming for a vintage, industrial, modern, or eclectic look, there are unique lighting options to suit every taste and complement existing decor.

Unique lighting options can often be an investment but they can be swapped over time... Theres no harm in making the shift little by little. I guarantee its an investment that you won't regret!
