Day 28: Make the ‘Small’ Touch-Ups in Your Space

You know how they say not to stress the small things? Well, that doesn't apply here. Welcome back to 31 Days of Loving Our Homes where we talk about things that we can do in the new year to make our homes a space that we love. For day 28 our resolution is to make the small touch-ups in your space... So, in essence, we are stressing the small things today.

The goal for todays resolution is to bring back some vibrance and freshness into our spaces by making small touch-ups that become necessary in a home over time. These small touch-ups can lead to much bigger interior transformations than you may think. Remember when you first painted your walls and baseboards and thought "wow, this looks amazing?" Well, the truth is that nothing has changed other than the fact that there is likely wear and tear on your walls and baseboards.  When we neglect to do this form of upkeep it can often make our homes look worn or dull.

Touch-Ups You May Need to Make

Retouching paint on the walls
Retouching paint on baseboards
Recauking around sinks, baseboards & showers
Patching and painting over small holes
Pressure washing your outdoor walkway
Freshen up grout with a deep cleaning
These are just a few examples of things that may need some attention in your home. These aren't things that anyone expects you to keep up with all the time! Over time these are the types of things that slowly appear and get neglected because they are just a product of time and use. Addressing them, however, could help freshen up your space and potentially reignite that excitement you once had over your home!
